As non-amazing as we are, we have to get some help to cover the entire spectrum of topics. The problem is, we have no money with which to pay writers. Luckily, we recently discovered a secret passageway under our wine cellar (yes, we have a wine cellar). In said passage we found some writers who have claimed to have been locked up since 1860. They didn’t know what a computer was, nor did they know that the Civil War was over, so we thought “what better way to reintroduce these people to modern society than to make them write for our blog?” So, against our better judgement, we allowed them to write a little about themselves so you can get to know them before we stuff them back in the cages that we keep them in.
(We also pay them in tattered rags and newspaper clippings. See? We’re benevolent.)

Hailing from Chicago, I’m the anime film critic, the kind of guy that likes knowing who did what anime, who directed it, what makes them a special director and why it’s a significant work. I’m also quite critical, I try to look at anime that is artistic, different and innovative, or at the very least fun in a creative way, not really what is popular per se, but what people should be watching. I’m also interested in film in general and art in general so I try to take these areas of interest and apply ideas of them to anime as it is a piece of a much broader spectrum of animation and film.
